Yes, it’s been a long time since I’ve updated. Almost a week, how absolutely awful of me.
A quick update on the food front. Jo’s been staying with me for the last week, so I’ve been making a special effort to cook more, since I have an extremely appreciative audience. I like cooking for Adan, because it feels good to be making a contribution towards his LOW daily intake of food, but Adan is not a food lover. Jo is. So am I. As is Nina, Vi (although only of Asian food), Kari L, and a bunch of other Asian girls I know. Maybe this food loving is really an Asian girl thing… hmm.
On Christmas I went all out and made: roasted chicken (with lemon and rosemary), roast garlic mashed potato, cucumber salad, garlic bread (this one got burnt in the oven, so was a loss. At least it didn’t self-combust this time), and french onion soup (which ET enjoyed muchly).
A couple of nights ago I made: spaghetti bolognese, and garlic bread. This time the garlic bread turned out just perfect.
Tonight I made: beef stew and garlic bread. This time, the garlic bread was a little overdone, but not fatally so.
I am currently in the process of making: Sam’s patented cookies of death. These are chocolate cookies (as in a chocolate dough, not chip) with chips of white chocolate, milk chocolate and butterscotch in them. Very yummy, very lethal.
I’ve also scanned in some photos I took when we went to Maggie’s place for Thanksgiving. They came out really well, especially the rearview sunset and the photos in the series. We went to the beach on Thanksgiving day for a bit, and the conditions were perfect for photos. Beautifully blue sky, bright light, great colors.
Enjoy
I’ve gotta go check on those cookies.
