on ze menu tonight, we ‘ave

i will be cooking lasagna tonight, courtesy of ET’s funding :) (she’s paying for your food, people. don’t forget to thank her.) this is for all you folk coming over tonight for cyberpunk.

in case you’re interested, this will be the recipe i’m using, with the following modifications:

- i’m using store-bought pasta instead of making my own (i’m not that crazy…yet)
- there will be no minced ham, or chicken liver (eww, much?)
- there will be mozarella cheese, in addition to parmesan.

any suggestions, or strenuous objections to lasagna, let me know.

ps. no mushrooms, sorry. too many people hate them.

  1. People who hate mushrooms are broken. Mushrooms are full of goodness. Yum. Sam, you are awesome. ET, you are awesome. Tonight will be great. :)

  2. Please leave a section of the lasagna ricotta-free. I really hate ricotta. It tastes wierd and looks like something the Stay-Puff Marshmallow Man threw up.

I recommend Oven-Ready Lasagna. It makes the whole procedure so easy!

  3. Sectioning off lasagna works very well. So could we pretty please have mushrooms in a section, and you can mark it off with some sliced mushrooms on top? Halifax will not be able to eat this at all. Poor, broken Halifax.

  4. ooo. cyberpunk?!

heh. the average life expectancy in punk-world isn’t very long… but that’s what makes it soooo much fun i guess.

  5. i’m guessing that ricotta is also something that hal will not appreciate, and thus i will be leaving half of the lasagna ricotta-free (width-wise) and half of the lasagna mushroom-free (length-wise). there will therefore be mushroom-ricotta, ricotta only, mushroom only, and neither ricotta nor mushroom quadrants.

    yay, comp sci.

  6. You are wonderful! Hip hip hooray for Sam, our doped-up chef!

I’d actually assumed that Halifax wouldn’t go near lasagna in any form. It does seem rather saucy and full of vegetables for his peculiar preferences.

  7. Damn. I miss Sam’s food. Though as all the bitching about the heat goes on, I think I’m glad over all I’m not in NYC right now. I’m wearing long pants and a sweater and I’m comfortable. I think I’ll miss the winter, but I sure don’t miss the summer.
